1970 Plymouth Barracuda

OH BARRACUDA! (Sorry — we just couldn’t resist.)

We are proud to present this stunning 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Restomod, a no-expense-spared professional build completed over a meticulous two-year period in 2009–2010. This immaculate Cuda seamlessly blends classic Mopar muscle car styling with modern performance, reliability, and drivability. With approximately 3,000 miles added since completion, it remains in exceptional condition and stands as a true showpiece that commands attention wherever it goes.

At the heart of this build is a custom 520ci Wedge engine from Speed-O-Motive, producing an impressive 600 horsepower and 660 lb-ft of torque. The engine breathes through TTI full-length headers into a 3-inch X-pipe exhaust system with Dynomax mufflers, delivering an aggressive tone to match its performance. Power is transferred through a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission paired with a Keisler Engineering Stage 3 clutch, sending power to a Dynatrac Positraction rear end with 4.11 gearing. The result is explosive acceleration with the added benefit of comfortable highway cruising thanks to overdrive.

To support the substantial power output, this Barracuda was upgraded with a comprehensive braking and suspension system. It features Baer Track System front and rear disc brakes, a custom aluminum radiator with electric fans from Ron Davis Racing Products, and a Unisteer Performance Products power steering system for improved control. The suspension has been significantly enhanced with components from Firm Feel including tubular upper control arms and boxed lower control arms, along with an upgraded K-member, torsion bar bushings, solid tie rod sleeves, modified steering gear, upgraded pitman and idler arms, and a full suspension package from XV Motorsports. Shock tower braces and custom QA1 adjustable shocks complete the setup, resulting in dramatically improved handling, responsiveness, and braking confidence over stock.

The interior was completely refinished using premium components to maintain a classic appearance while adding modern comfort. Corbeau Sport front seats provide excellent support, with the rear seat recovered to match. A full interior package from Legendary Interiors was installed, along with a 3-point seat belt conversion for added safety. A Pioneer audio system and Dynamat insulation throughout the cabin enhance the driving experience, making the car as enjoyable on long cruises as it is at shows.

The exterior finish reflects the same attention to detail as the mechanical components, with professional paint and bodywork completed by Gary Fronk. The car sits on Coys C5 chrome wheels wrapped in Nitto NT555 performance tires, giving it a bold, aggressive stance that perfectly complements its performance capabilities. Every component on this vehicle was sourced new during the build, and every system has been refurbished, replaced, or refinished to an exceptional standard.
